Chess with opening books does not "contain every single move from the Encyclopedia of Chess Openings" like it says on the frontpage. That would infringe a copyright. It contains the skeleton of moves by which variants are determined as to ECO codes. But this is certainly good enough. Thanks for this Herculean effort. I have one complaint: the piece values, as Zillions values them, are not correct. The Queen should have a higher value. Now it's worth the same (or even less) than Rook + Bishop, which is clearly wrong. This causes Zillions to exchange Queen for Bishop and Rook, which nearly always loses. The Knight should have a slightly higher value, and the Rook, too. The Knight and Rook should have one extra add, and the queen should have at least two extra adds. I myself solve this by adding moves to occupied external squares. /Mats |
