Object: Capture your opponent's King. You also win if a Pacman eats your opponent's King. Two Pacmen wander back and forth on the board, one on the fourth rank, one on the fifth rank. They eat anything that is in their way. A Pacman cannot be stepped upon or captured, but Rook, Bishop and Queen can slide over a Pacman. Apart from this the standard chess rules apply. Variant 2: The two Pacmen are 'domesticated'; The one on your half of the board will eat only enemy pieces. When your Pacman encounters one of your pieces on his march, it will stop temporarily.
