The game of desert chess is played similar to normal chess. But after each turn all enemy pieces neighbored to the aim square of the moving piece desert, i. e., they get the color of the moving piece.
There is no check, no checkmate, no castling and no en passant.
 
You win if there are no enemy stones on the board or if the other player has no legal move.
